Successful Breeding From Canine Frozen Semen Stored for Six Years
Synbiotics Corporation congratulates Joanna Gordon on a successful breeding of her bitch, Ch Blue Fairy’s Black Mamba. The litter was conceived using semen from Doug and Arlyne Smith’s stud dog, MacDougal (BEARSDEN'S MAC DOUGALL ARGYLL). The collection used for the breeding was frozen on September 15, 2005 and was collected by Synbiotics Freeze Center Veterinarian, Dr Mary Ann Sheller at Vale Park Animal Hospital in Valparaiso, Indiana, and subsequently stored with Synbiotics. Dr. Gary Simpson, Spring Valley Veterinary Clinic in Spring Valley, California a Synbiotics Reproduction Referral Network Veterinarian, conducted the insemination. The litter produced three Otterhound puppies, two males and one female. Joanna had completed an AI procedure before, but this AI was the first time with Synbiotics and Dr. Simpson. She was pleased about “organization of the shipping”… and how the shipping “ …was flawless.” She was also happy with how “Dr. Simpson was knowledgeable and reassuring.”
