For swine veterinarians or producers who are seeking accurate diagnoses of pig diseases or monitoring vaccine response, Synbiotics manufactures an extensive line of swine diagnostics.  Our SERELISA® diagnostic kits include ELISAS for detecting antigen and antibody to PCV-2 and hog cholera (Classical Swine Fever) as well as ELISAs to assess antibody to Mycoplasma Hyopneumonia and Pseudorabies virus (associated with Aujeszky’s Disease).  In addition, Synbiotics offers OVASSAY® Plus/OVATEC® Plus System for detection of gastrointestinal parasitic ova and bioScreen Ileitis Antibody ELISA for detection of Lawsonia intracellularis. Flu DETECT™ Swine Influenza Type A Antigen Test Kit
Influenza Type A viruses can infect swine species.  Subtypes HIN1 and H3N2 are associated with disease in swine.  The Flu DETECT™ Swine Influenza Virus Type A Antigen Test Kit is an in-vitro, Rapid Immuno Migration (RIM™) test designed to aid in the qualitative detection of Swine Influenza Type A virus in nasal samples from pigs.  Positive results may be submitted to a reference lab for confirmation and subtype determination.  Negative results indicate no detectable SIV is present.
