Pfizer Animal Health Offers New Synbiotics Combo Kit for the Detection of Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae.

Pfizer Animal Health is pleased to offer a new Synbiotics USDA-licensed, poultry kit, ProFLOK® MG/MS.  This ELISA Kit is a rapid and specific presumptive screening test for the detection of antibody to Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae in chicken and turkey serum samples.  Laboratories and producers will benefit from the convenience of having one ELISA, packaged in a five plate kit, which can be used for both chickens and turkeys.  The kit features excellent reproducibility, specificity and sensitivity.  In addition, the ELISA offers 24 months stability from the date of manufacture.

USDA Approves Marketing and Distribution of Flu DETECT® BE

Kansas City, MO - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has granted Synbiotics Corporation full USDA approval for marketing and distribution of Flu DETECT® BE. The kit is an in-vitro, multispecies Enzyme Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay (ELISA) designed to aid in the qualitative detection of antibody to avian influenza in chicken and turkey sera.  The assay detects all 16 subtypes of avian influenza.

The kit joins the Synbiotics family of diagnostic detection kits for avian influenza including Flu DETECT® [Avian Influenza Type A Antigen Rapid Immuno Migration (RIM™ Test)] and ProFLOK® AIV Plus (Avian Influenza Virus Plus Antibody ELISA Kit).  Synbiotics is headquartered in Kansas City, MO and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pfizer, Inc.
